WHAT IS THE HIGH CURRENT TERMINAL?


High current terminal is one of the terminal blocks, which is used to connect cable.


Constitute

The high current terminal is composed of insulation base, insulation partition and electrical wire pieces. The wiring piece is seated on the insulating base and placed in the insulating partition. The wiring piece includes wire clamp, screw, nut and support frame. The support frame is U-shaped, and the wire clamp is placed in the support frame. The nut and screw press the wire clamp along the elongated holes on the U-shaped two end surfaces of the support frame. The wire clamp is composed of the upper wire clamp and the conductive sheet, which is characterized by a plurality of rows of convex blocks protruding on both sides of the upper surface of the conductive sheet.

The convex block and the middle part of the upper surface form an arc. A middle part of the upper surface of the conductive sheet is a convex block, and the center of the platform is provided with threaded holes which are connected with the insulating base through bolts. A positioning round block protruding at both ends of the lower surface of the conductive sheet is connected with the U-shaped support frame. When the two upper conductor clamps are respectively placed on both sides of the conductive sheet platform and are clamped together with the conductive sheet, the upper conductor clamp and the conductive sheet convex block are staggered with each other to clamp the conductor.


Feature

Each connection area is composed of an insulating seat, a U-shaped frame, a nut, a hexagonal screw and upper and lower movable blocks. There are wiring holes between the opposite contact surfaces of the upper and lower movable blocks. The hexagonal screws are topped on the upper movable block through the nut. The purpose is to directly connect power cables of different thicknesses to high-current terminals. Compared with the existing technology, it can flexibly combine the number of splicing terminal units, and it can crimp single or multiple strands of electrical cable. It has the advantages of firm and reliable connection, simple and convenient installation and maintenance.


Material

The PA66 material used for the high current terminal block does not contain halogen, so it will not produce corrosive acid rain when burning. In addition, PA66 has excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions, and will not provide oxygen and other biological elements for microorganisms. The insulating parts made of PA66 will not degrade its performance due to the presence of termites, anaerobic bacteria and fungi. PA66 has excellent resistance to most common detergents such as oils and lipids, alcohol and carbon tetrachloride. Due to the different mechanical strength requirements for each metal part of screw type terminals, the alloys that make up them are also different. Screws are made of high-strength copper alloy, conductors are made of electrolytic copper, crimping frames are made of copper alloy that is resistant to stress crack corrosion. The surface of these metal parts is also tinned or nickel plated for protection. The all copper terminal block can avoid the battery effect of steel metal parts and copper wires in wet conditions, thereby avoiding electrical corrosion and its consequences.


Ordinary terminal generally cannot disconnect itself, but only through connectable terminal. As a new type of terminal, the high current terminal can disconnect itself.
